As we here from internal source: a joint Statement of Intent between Canada and CERN was signed, similar to the one that was signed with the US at the White House about a year ago. The CERN Council was informed of this important development in the week of March 24.
The statement is an important step for CERN’s and High Energy Physics’s future.
“Should the CERN Member States determine that the FCC is likely to be CERN’s next world-leading research facility following the High-Luminosity Large Hadron Collider, Canada intends to collaborate on its construction and physics exploitation, subject to appropriate domestic approvals.”

It is interesting to note that this statement as well as the supporting document for the European Strategy now more explicitly mentions the FCC and not the Linear Collider, which during the P5 report was still mentioned at the same level. This is as much as I can say a result of the very thorough Feasibility Study that is about to conclude.
