Her life as a physicist started officially with her Laurea (2000) in Padova, Italy from where she moved directly to Purdue for her PhD (2006).
Anadi is a Senior Scientist at Fermilab and held various notable appointments at Fermilab, TRIUMF, and the University of British Columbia.
Anadi’s research in experimental particle physics centers on searches for new phenomena and studies of electroweak symmetry breaking. Her work also includes the development of trigger systems and silicon-based tracking detectors for hadron colliders.
Since 2015, she has led research within the CMS experiment, following earlier contributions to the ATLAS (2008–2015) and CDF (2000–2011) collaborations. She currently serves as head of the CMS department at Fermilab, L3 manager for Electronics of the Outer Tracker (HL-LHC CMS upgrade), scientific secretary of the Fermilab Physics Advisory Committee, and co-convener of the laboratory’s Energy Frontier working group.
